DMX will reportedly be released early from an Arizona jail on Tuesday (July 6). Producer Dame Grease tweeted the news on Monday (July 5), writing "Dmx being released from Jail 2morrow!"

DMX has served two months of a six-month sentence stemming from a March parole violation for drug use. X entered the slammer on May 4, after an Arizona judge denied his request to appear as a patient on VH1's 'Celebrity Rehab.' The troubled rapper made the appeal to obtain treatment from the show's resident physician, Dr. Drew Pinsky, in place of jail time, but his request was dismissed because of progress with substance abuse treatment behind bars.

In the past few years, DMX's string of legal troubles has prevented him from focusing on his ailing music career. The Yonkers rapper has been arrested and incarcerated for several offenses, including animal cruelty, impersonating law enforcement and alluding authorities. DMX's next musical project is slated to be a gospel album, although there has been no progress in the past few months.
