When it comes to bustin' out Bible verses, DMX has proven he's ready to recite any scripture from the Good Book's 66 chapters of wisdom when called on, and this weekend he was trying to change the life of a loyal fan in L.A.

TMZ captured X on tape cracking the Bible open in front of L.A.'s Wi Jammin' Caribbean Restaurant after an admirer came up to him saying she "was going through hard times."

In the clip, DMX adamantly says "that's your will, that's your will," in his effort to help change the life of a fan. Next thing you know, the Yonkers MC is reading Romans 7:15-16 saying, "And if I do what I will not to do..." The verse in its entirety reads, "I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good."

While people were falling over themselves watching the former Ruff Ryders leader spread God's word, X isn't new to thumbing through the Bible. In 1998, DMX released his first prayer called 'Prayer (Skit)' on 'It's Dark and Hell is Hot,' and he's been known for his aggressive, raspy-toned sermons every since. Preach on Reverend Simmons, preach on.
