DMX found his name in the headlines yet again over the weekend. The 38-year-old, born Earl Simmons, was rumored to be one of the cast members on VH1's 'Celebrity Rehab' show but his representative nixed those reports. "Several media outlets have reported that my client Earl Simmons, aka DMX has signed on to appear in VH1's Celebrity Rehab reality show," said his publicist Pam Pinnock. "These reports are false and Mr. Simmons has not agreed to appear in any reality show.

"Mr. Simmon's is currently serving a 90-day jail sentence at Tent City Jail in Arizona. He has expressed great appreciation to the overwhelming amount of support he has received from his fans during this difficult time. He would like his fans to know that he is taking this time to focus on his personal as well as spiritual growth, and is looking forward to being released soon." Pinnock also stated that X is set to appear in a movie after his release, although she did not elaborate on the details of the film.

As of late, X has garnered more media attention for his legal problems and bizarre behavior than his music. He was apprehended by police earlier this year at the home of producer Scott Storch and expedited to Arizona to serve his current 90-day sentence. Since being behind bars, X has done one television interview in which he cleared up rumors of disobedience which landed him on 23-hour-a-day lockdown. "Since I have begun to serve my sentence, I have not been given any special treatment but it has actually been the opposite," he said. "For the record, I want to state 'I Did Not' physically touch or hit an officer. This is just another attempt to destroy my credibility."

In January, X plead guilty to animal cruelty, theft and drug charges. Following his sentence he will be on probation for 18 months. He will be released May 19.
