DMX added identity theft to his long rap sheet when he was arrested at Phoenix's Metrocenter mall on Saturday on suspicion of giving a false name and Social Security number in an attempt at dodging a hospital bill.

According to reports, the troubled rapper was admitted to Scottsdale, Arizona's Mayo Clinic in April and went by the name Troy Jones. X, whose real name is Earl Simmons, failed to pay the $7,500 medical bill. Simmons was picked up by the Phoenix police while hanging out with friends in the shopping center. The rapper has had several run-ins with the law in the last year and this weekend's arrest marks his fifth since May.

"He's back in jail again," Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said. "I don't know why judges keep letting this guy out. Every time he goes in there, he gets out on bond." Arpaio added, "I'm hoping this is the one time he's going to pay the penalty for his offense." Simmons is currently awaiting trial on charges of animal cruelty and felony drug possession stemming from an August 2007 raid on his Arizona home.

"To my knowledge, he has no guns," said Jackson's lawyer, Brett Kimmel. This is just the latest salvo in a long fight over money between Jackson and Tompkins.
