Rapppers DMC and Talib Kweli and jazz guitarist George Porter, Jr. of the Meters will hit the Brooklyn Bowl stage for an eight-night series of hip-hop, soul and funk music for this year's Bowlive V fest.

Set to kick off March 13 with DJ Logic and Nigel Hall, the event will feature many other legendary artists including Susan Tedeschi, Joe Russo of Furthur, Marco Benevento of Benevento and Russo Duo. While each of the night's headliners change, Woodstock-based funk/jazz trio Soulive as well as the Shady Horns will be on hand as the house band.

Bowlive V takes place from March 13 to March 22. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the Brooklyn Bowl website. For $120, you can attend all eight nights.

For those who want to introduce the kids to some soul, funk and hip-hop music, there will be an all ages show on March 15, which the venue is selling separately from the pass.
