Icon alert! DJ Khaled is officially part of the ROC with Jay Z now managing his career. In a recent interview with Complex, the Miami producer explains why their partnership is so major.

"Me and Jay have been friends for a long time and [have] built a relationship throughout the years," he explains. "We always said we [were] gonna do something together besides making amazing music. So, I called Jigga like, 'Let's make history together, let's make big business, let's secure the bag together.'"

“I consider this a partnership,” he added. “Two moguls -- it’s powerful.”

True indeed.

Now with summer coming up in a few months, DJ Khaled is prepping to release "another one" of his summertime anthems. The We the Best mogul says he's not playing around this year and is looking forward to working with Kendrick Lamar on a song.

"I have a record that I want to present to [Kendrick]," he said. "Me and him have talked a few times...and he said 'send it over, I'm ready' and I'm about to send it over."

"You can't rush greatness," he adds.

Among the 40-year-old executive's wish list of potential collaborators? Beyonce and Rihanna.
