Dinco D, a founding member of 1990s rap group Leaders of the New School, is back with a new independent album, Cameo Flows. The 14-song collection is available for streaming and downloading on Bandcamp.com.

Dinco D’s project brings back the nostalgic ‘90s boom-bap sound, but it doesn’t wallow in it. The production is creative, contemporary and will make you nod your head. Dinco D is lyrically sharp throughout the album, dropping punchlines and zingers that will remind you of his crafty wordplays on various LONS’s songs.

Among the standout tracks on Cameo Flow include "OHHHH" where former LONS rapper Milo and Dinco D deliver braggadocios rhymes over blaring horns. On "Before I Get On," which samples Frankie Beverly and Maze's "Before I Let Go," Dinco D and rapper H & Maine salute their significant others for holding them down. On the sunshiny track "Sunflower," Dinco D praises his family and the Almighty for their "guiding light."

Elsewhere, Dinco D and fellow LONS rapper Charlie Brown address police brutality on the soulful "Murder By the Numbers" and on the fantastic "Dinco N Dama Nilz," Dinco trade hardcore bars with rap newcomer Dama Nilz over a banging boom-bap production.

The album closes with the posse track "We R Da World," featuring Vice Verses, Genesis Be, Intikana, Mazzi, DJ Rob Flow and Minx, which samples lines from "We Are the World." The song features insightful rhymes from the aforementioned rappers as the encouraged people to empower themselves and not get brainwashed by politicians and the media.

Overall, Dinco D's Cameo Flow is a fantastic album that's worthy of your attention. You can buy single tracks or purchase the whole project for $8 at bandcamp.com.
