The revolution will be televised by way of Diddy and Revolt TV. The rap mogul is preparing to launch his new music channel on select cable outlets tonight (Oct. 21) at 8PM ET.

For those of you who don't have cable, don't worry, you can watch the launch via the channel's official website.

During an interview with Hot 97, Diddy described Revolt TV as the ESPN of music.

"Eighty percent of the time we will be showing music videos and it will be curated music videos," he explains. "It won't be just videos thrown up there and no actual navigators giving you back stories and information."

"This industry that we live in and this genre of music is so big… there's no place for [it] to get covered," he adds. "So Kanye's tour just dropped and Drake's tour just dropped, and there's Coachella and even Hot 97, and it's not journalistically reported on like the stakes is so high. You get little bits and pieces from people's iPhones, which is cool, but you don't get, like, opening night, it's backstage seeing the jitters, feeling the energy… and that's big news to us. It's big for the culture."

Diddy also made it clear that Revolt TV is not an offhanded vanity project. It's a brand that he's totally invested his time developing -- in short, he's in it for the long haul.

"It's official. Revolt TV is the new No. 1 name in music television," he states. "In five years, we will be available on a billion devices. The definition of television has totally changed."

Overall, the Bad Boy Records mogul credits hip-hop and the fans for helping him launch such an audacious venture into the marketplace.

"God bless hip-hop for allowing me to dream big," says Diddy. "Remember it's not my channel, it's your channel. And we need y'all."

We wish Diddy the best of luck with his new channel.
