Police arrested six teenagers after a crowd of over 1,000 people became unruly at the CambridgeSide Galleria mall in Boston on Monday evening (Nov. 7).

According to WCVB 5, Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown and rapper Desiigner scheduled a meet-and-greet at Champs Sports in the mall that day. Eyewitnesses say that hundreds of kids stood outside of the store for hours waiting to see Desiigner and when the crowd was told to move back, that’s when things turned chaotic.

Police said the crowd became hostile and allegedly starting throwing debris at them when police tried to clear the scene. Authorities used pepper spray in the crowd to make them disperse. Several police units from different counties were also called for backup. In the end, six teens were arrested for disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and trespassing.

For his part, Jaylen Brown went on his Twitter account to apologize to his fans for being unable to make the event because police blocked the area around the mall. However, he did promise that he will reschedule the meet-and-greet. Hopefully, he can find a venue that can hold over a 1,000 people.

Desiigner has no commented on the matter. Watch the chaotic scene below.
