The prosecutor’s criminal case against Desiinger appears to be falling apart. As we previously reported, the Brooklyn native was arrested last week in a road rage incident in which the victim claimed that the rapper pointed a gun at him. That charge was eventually dropped. However, police found what they initially thought were illegal drugs in the SUV during the rapper’s arrest.

On Monday (Sept. 12), TMZ is reporting that the 302 pills in various Ziploc bags found in the car were all steroids and not illegal narcotics as the police claim. Plus, all of the steroids belonged to the chauffeur.

This bit of good news further substantiates Desiigner's attorney's argument that his client's arrest was bogus.

“There’s nothing here. There’s nothing recovered," said the rapper's lawyer, Adam Konta, during his arraignment. “There really is nothing here.”

A jubilant Desiinger celebrated his release from jail by going on a Gucci shopping spree with his G.O.O.D. Music label mate Tyga. Outside of the Gucci store, the 19-year-old rapper proclaimed his innocence in the case.

“You gotta stay humble and know your worth. I know I ain’t supposed to be in [jail], that ain’t the place for me,” he said. “I’m here to make that art and be entertaining for trillions of planets.”

In a statement, Desiigner’s legal team called the rapper’s recent arrest a crude attempt to block a young man’s success.

“It’s time to embrace the true narrative of a young black man enjoying his success and working hard for a prosperous career,” they told TMZ.
