Do more, talk less. Those are words to live by, which Detroit native DeJ Loaf emphasizes in her XXL Freshman Freestyle.

The 24-year-old "Try Me" rapper, who appears as one of two women on the 2015 XXL Freshman Class cover, sits back nonchalantly as she delivers her rhymes. "I cant live no check to check / So I invest, make it stretch, all these groupies at my neck / You a rat, now you trapped, get your goofy ass back / Send a text to get you wacked if you ever disrespect / Hold your thought, eat this Tech / Do more, talk less," DeJ serves.

She also gives a nod to her "godly" color of choice and a reminder that she may be on the scene but she's not easily traceable: "All white, I'm out here like Osama / If they want me they gon' have to come find me."

The Columbia Records signee may have scored a spot on the coveted XXL Freshman cover, but that's just one goal out of the many she wishes to achieve. "I feel like I got a lot of work to do. I’m finally being heard. People are finally hearing me. I’ve been doing music for quite some time and to see me on the cover is going to be like, ‘Wow, DeJ made it.’" she shares. "Especially for my city, it’s going to be real important to them."
