De La Soul returns with an interesting video for “Drawn” featuring Little Dragon. The song is from their Grammy Award-nominated album, And the Anonymous Nobody.

The abstract visual features an artist who is holed up in her studio trying to find her creative spirit but is unable to proceed with her art. In an attempt to break her mental block, she does some ballet, soaks in a bath and paints.

It’s later in the video, we realize that the artist may be feeling ashamed for a failed relationship with a former love, which happens to be Posdnuos. Near the end, Pos confesses his wrongdoing in the relationship.

"It's an abstract video that's open to interpretation in a lot of ways, but for me it's about the guilt of failing your partner in a relationship," said the video's director, J Anders Urmacher, in a press release.

You will have to watch the video a couple of times to get the message. As usual, De La Soul always tries to bring a unique perspective, whether its through music, videos or print.
