Dave East Makes Acting Debut on BET’s ‘Being Mary Jane’

Dave East is taking his career to the next level.

After dropping the well received Kairi Chanel, featuring one of the dopest songs of 2016, "Don't Shoot," and garnering the attention of listeners and the industry alike, Dave East is taking his talents to television.

The Harlem rapper is set to appear on the hit BET drama, Being Mary Jane. He'll pay a newbie rapper on the rise who isn't used to being interviewed by the likes of someone as big as the main character, journalist Mary Jane (played by Gabrielle Union).

He appears in the clip rapping his 2015 song, “KD" of which Union's character is a fan (Gabrielle is also a fan in real life). You can check Dave's appearance on season four of the show above.
