Curren$y continues his winning streak with the release of new music. He just dropped  a gritty video for "Pirates," which features the New Orleans spitta puffing a blunt, sporting a diamond pinkie ring with the city skyline as his backdrop. He raps specifically about "royals neglectin' the throne" and reminds of that he’s still "ballin' with the hunger of a starving artist."

He spits the following lines as a gritty wakeup call to those who need it:

“As I look over the game/ I see where its going wrong/ we letting too much slide/ royals neglecting the throne.” He continues with, “Radio letting em/ children are singing along/ brainwashed coming up, they’re whole perception is drawn as to what the game really is/ too many suckas is getting away with that silly sh*t.”

It's only been six days since his timely release of the new track "Good Cop Bad Cop," in the wake of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling’s murders. Curren$y immediately recapped the two highly publicized fatalities at the hands of police officers with a sampled flip of Erykah Badu’s "Other Side Of The Game."

Six days is the longest interim Spitta has taken all year as he’s consistently dropped new music via Soundcloud, an LP, and newly released singles paired with visuals. In his return today with the new single, "Pirates” off his forthcoming mixtape Weed & Instrumentals 2, Spitta Andretti teases fans as they await the release of his next tape, which is slated to be the sequel to the 17-track mixtape he dropped back in March.

Weed & Instrumentals 2 will be Curren$y’s eighth project of 2016.
