The Converse Chuck Taylor II is a pretty tame take on the iconic model that focuses solely on comfort without doing much to alter the style. Well, the brand has another version of the shoe on deck that puts a completely different spin on it for a very haute couture look.

The Converse CT Shroud Hi takes the classic Chuck Taylor and wraps it with a one-piece panel that zips along the lace plate. The shape of the shoe and that classic outsole is still in place right along with the medial side logo patch, which is sewn on so there is no mistaking this for anything but a Converse kick. For an added level of luxury, tumbled leather is used to craft the shroud and the entire sneaker is tonally colored in either black, red or white.

This is an interesting look no doubt, which only a few will be able to pull off. If you’re one of those chosen few, Sivasdescalzo should have them in your size.
