Popular conscious rapper Common has teamed up with the Jordan Brand, a division of Nike, to headline the Jordan Brand Classic at New York's Madison Square Garden on April 17.

The event is a showcase for the world's top high school basketball players, and is annually attended by stars like Michael Jordan, Spike Lee, Ludacris, LL Cool J, Kanye West, Terrell Owens and more. The event will feature the nation's top 20 players, and has included NBA standouts like LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard and more in recent history.

The triple-header begins with the Regional Game, the International Game and then the most popular All-American Game, which will be televised on ESPN2, with Common performing during halftime.
