Def Jam seems to be a good fit for Common because the label has thrown its full support behind his new album, 'Nobody's Smiling,' by creating an incredibly strong promotional campaign.

And last night (July 23), the legendary Chicago spitter's promotional streak continued as he took his talents to 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' to perform two cuts off the album, 'Blak Majik,' featuring Jhene Aiko, and the album's first single 'Kingdom,' featuring Vince Staples.

For 'Blak Majik,' Com recruited two twin dancers, dressed in striped leotards and blonde wigs. The MC, who rocked an all-black-everything look with some throwback Air Jordans, performed energetically, utilizing the entire stage. And Aiko easily kept up, also jumping and bouncing around to the fast tempo cut.

The performance of 'Kingdom' also went off without a hitch. He drew in the audience as he spit clear verses about Chicago's high murder rate.

Clearly, Common is a veteran of the stage and it really showed as he ripped through both songs perfectly, which got the TV crowd extremely excited.
