Filming on rapper Common's latest movie, 'Just Wright,' may be halted due to a shooting that occurred near the New York City film set on Sunday. The shooting is not believed to be connected to the film, but may be delayed as a precaution.

According to reports, employee Falberto Rivera was hanging a 'No Parking' sign for the shoot when he heard gunshot coming from the other end of the street. Rivera ran towards the sound and found a wounded man lying on the street. "I was waiting for him to get up, but he did not," Rivera said. "The neighbors kept saying, 'Get up!' Then the ambulance came."

The shooting occurred after the unidentified victim parked his car in front of a housing project in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. Witnesses noted that the victim was seen arguing with two men, and was later shot in his leg and lower torso "We doubt it's connected to the film," said a source. "But it is a little freaky. Things might be delayed a bit." The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital. No arrests have been made in the case.

Billed as a romantic comedy, 'Just Wright' stars Common and Queen Latifah and is about a sports trainer, played by Latifah, who falls for her client while helping him rehabilitate after an injury. The film is due in theaters next year.
