Veteran rapper Common has released a new video for his first single, 'Kingdom.' The song is from his upcoming album, 'Nobody's Smiling,' due out this summer.

Com tapped Hype Williams to direct this powerful visual detailing a young man's daily hustle of getting money on the hard streets of Chicago. Throughout the clip, we follow the man -- whose face is blurred out -- as he travels from one place to another doing illicit activities until the end when he gets arrested.

The song also features Vince Staples, but neither him or the Chi-City rhymer appear in the 7-minute-long video.

Common says that his 'Nobody's Smiling' album will explore the social and economic struggles in his beloved city of Chicago. "It’s really a call to action," he said.

The album, which will be under No I.D.'s Artium/Def Jam imprint, will hit stores on July 22.
