Common and Ice Cube Perform ‘Real People’ on ‘Tonight Show’ [VIDEO]
Backed by The Roots, the two veteran rhymers performed their song "Real People" off of the soundtrack for their upcoming film, Barbershop: The Next Cut.
It's great to see these two rappers' share the stage together. Back in the '90s Common and Cube were embroiled in serious rap feud. It all started when Common released "I Used to Love H.E.R.," which Cube misinterpreted as a diss to the West Coast. Afterwards, the recent Rock Hall inductee retaliated with "Westside Slaughterhouse," which was met with Common's retaliatory track, "The Bitch in Yoo."
Twenty years later, Common and Cube are now friends and they are both starring in Barbershop: The Next Cut. In an interview with ABC's Good Morning America, Cube discussed the significance of them squashing their beef.
“It’s great because we’re showing that even if you’re having a problem with somebody, through time a little humbleness, you get through that,” he said.
Meanwhile, Common decided to show off some of his breakdancing skills for Jimmy Fallon including some sick foot-play and killer windmills.
Barbershop: The Next Cut will arrive in theaters on Friday (April 15).
