Over the last several years there has been an uptick in vinyl sales, which should bring joy to hardcore music collectors. The Record of the Month club Vinyl Me Please has been leading the charge in releasing classic albums on vinyl.

In May, Vinyl Me Please will re-release Clipse’s 2002 debut album Lord Willin’ and Snoop Dogg’s 1993 debut effort, Doggystyle. Both albums are influential from their eras, and arguably changed the course of rap.

Clipse’s Lord Willin’ introduced Virginia duo Pusha T and his brother Malice (now known as No Malice) to rap audiences as they invited listeners into the minds of two savvy street hustlers. The LP’s standout track “Grindin’,” is one of the Neptunes’ (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo) most classic and unorthodox beats in their discography.

The album was remastered from the original source for this reissue. The two 45 RPM LPs are pressed on exclusive emerald-colored vinyl enclosed in a heavyweight gatefold tip-on jacket with a 12” x 12” original art print.

Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle is unquestionably a bonafide classic. With songs like "Gin & Juice," "Who Am I? (What’s My Name?)” and "Murder Was the Case," this vinyl re-release is a must-have for true hip-hop fans.

For the LP's 25th anniversary, VMP is re-releasing it in an exclusive brown and mint splattered vinyl housed in a heavyweight gatefold tip-on jacket. In addition, the album has been remastered from the original analog reels.

If you want to cop both of these classic albums, you have to sign up and become a member of Vinyl Me Please. They have three different payments plans that will fit your budget. If you are a true vinyl head, this is a no-brainer.
