Chris Brown’s Manager Denies Rumors, Singer Pulls Out of Kids’ Choice Awards
One day after reports of an alleged sexual relationship hit the news circuit, Chris Brown's manger, Tina Davis is firing back. Davis released a statement through her lawyer Marshall Grossman vehemently denying the rumors. "The relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client. There has never been any other relationship," said Grossman. "The rumors in circulation are false. There are no emails between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown of the type, which have been described in media reports.
"If the source of the false rumors is identified, legal action will be taken. Given the nature of the legal issues affecting Mr. Brown, Ms. Davis will not be making any further statements." Davis' father also came to her defense in an interview stating that the rumors were nothing new. "They were saying that before. Those are old rumors," he said.
A story posted on TMZ pin-pointed Davis, 39, as the mystery woman who sent Brown, 19, a three page text message leading up to his alleged altercation with girlfriend Rihanna. Although the couple has since reconciled both have remained mum as the details regarding that night continue to unfold. Last week an 11-page police affidavit was released to the public. The document stated that Brown punched, bit and kicked Rihanna while driving.

Amid their personal turmoil the two are believed to be working on music together in a Los Angeles studio, with producer Polow Da Don. Although none of these reports have been substantiated, Brown has officially pulled his name off the ballot of the upcoming Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards. Brown was up for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song, a category he shares with Rihanna. "Chris very much appreciates the support of his fans and the honor they have paid him in the way of nominations," a statement from his representative said. "Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding the incident last month has shifted the focus from the music to whether he should be allowed to be among those nominated.
"While Chris would like to speak to his fans directly about this and other issues, pending legal proceedings preclude his doing so at this time. Once the matter before him has been resolved, he intends to do so," the statement finished.
Brown appeared in a Los Angeles court last week and is facing felony charges including felony assault and one count of making criminal threats. He is due back in court April 6.
