Chris Brown made a triumphant return to the 2011 BET Awards stage, and although there was no waterworks involved, the singer did not disappoint.

The R&B singer performed a medley of songs from his 'F.A.M.E.' album, including his latest single 'She Ain't You,' and commencing with 'Look At Me Now,' assisted by Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne. The song also won Brown the award for Best Collaboration later in the show. "I hope y'all liked the performance," the singer tweeted to over 3 million of his followers. "Love all my fans so much."

Brown, who has run into trouble as of late for his outbursts and Twitter feuds, appears to be back in good graces with the public and is the one to beat at this year's ceremony. The 22-year-old is nominated for a total of six nominations, beating out Lil Wayne for the most nods this year.

The Virginia native is used to making headlines for his performances at the BET awards. Last year his moving tribute to Michael Jackson, which ended with him breaking down in tears, sit the news circuit abuzz and was said to be a turning point for his career, which had fallen on rough times following his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
