Chris Brown Says Jay-Z Never Threatened Him: ‘It Was Real Respectful’

Chris Brown laid some longstanding rumors to rest in an interview with Los Angeles radio station Power 106.

The embattled singer, who was recently photographed sitting next to ex-girlfriend Rihanna in the VIP section at a Jay-Z show at the Barclays Center, was reportedly threatened by the elder MC, and warned not to hurt her again.

However, Breezy denies that any such scolding occurred.

“It was cordial,” Brown explained. “It was real respectful. It was nothing like that. I went to the Center to see the show. People like to take it and run with it, because they have nothing else.”

While it is not clear what the nature of Brown and Rihanna’s newly rekindled relationship is, yet Brown was loath to discuss another MC close to her heart, Drake, with whom the singer recently engaged in a bottle-throwing altercation.

“Only reason I can’t talk about that is because we’re dealing with some legal stuff,” he said.
