Chris Brown, Fetty Wap, Jeezy & More Distribute Turkeys for Thanksgiving [PHOTOS]
Several rappers took time out of their hectic schedule to give back to their native hometowns. Artists such as Chris Brown, Fetty Wap, Jeezy, Big Sean and Birdman handed out free turkeys to grateful families for Thanksgiving.
On Thursday (Nov. 25), Breezy was in Queens, N.Y., passing out 2,000 turkeys to people at an event organized in conjunction with 50 Cent. The "New Flame" singer also challenged other artists to give back to their own communities.
"I honestly challenge the celebrities. We think about ourselves all the time and take everything for granted," he wrote. "Driving nice cars, jewelry, pretending to be something we aren't. Let's give back because it's the right thing to do."
Meanwhile, Fetty Wap delivered turkeys to families in his hometown of Paterson, N.J. Hundreds of people showed up to get their free bird. The "Trap Queen" rhymer also took photos with fans and hugged a lot of mothers.
According to Fox5NY, Fetty teamed up with City Council Member Ruby Cotton for the charity event. The rapper helped passed out over 250 turkeys to needy families.
In Atlanta, pastor Jeezy went from passing out hot meals to performing a hot concert for the citizens in ATL. The "God" rapper rock the mic for a special show at the Tabernacle venue on Wednesday (Nov. 25). Prior to that, the Church in These Streets creator helped serve 200 boxes of food to families at Mt. Sanai Baptist Church.
"Happy thanksgiving!! Be thankful for your luv ones!! We all we got!!! The luv be fake but the hate be real tho!!" Jeezy tweeted.
Finally, Big Sean and Cash Money Records CEO Birdman held their annual Turkey Drive in their hometown of Detroit and New Orleans, respectively. Sean Don gave away 2,000 turkeys, while Birdman distributed 2,500 turkeys and offered free health screenings.
