Chris Brown Troubled singer Chris Brown appeared to have won back his fans with his heartfelt tribute to Michael Jackson at Sunday Night's BET Awards, but some say it was an all an act.

According to USMagazine.com, Brown's tears during his 'Man in the Mirror' performance may have been faked. The website cites a "backstage source" who claims to have spotted the 21-year-old singer receiving a bottle of eye drops from one of his bodyguards just before he took the stage. The source continued to say that Brown "rubbed it [the drops] in and he started crying."

Brown's rep staunchly denies the story, claiming the outpouring of emotion seen onstage was due to his being "moved by the opportunity to pay tribute to his idol."
