Chris Brown is one of the biggest-selling R&B acts in music. On Thursday (Dec. 7), Breezy announced on his social media accounts that he has earned 40 certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America this year alone.

In an Instagram post, Brown wrote, “40 PLAQUES THIS YEAR! Today the RIAA released 23 more certified platinum and gold plaques that included 12 x multi platinum singles. 74.5 million single and album sales just in the US. #TEAMBREEZY”

The plaques includes new platinum certifications for his classic R&B james like “Yo (Excuse Me Miss),” “Run It!” and “Grass Ain’t Greener.” “Privacy” also went platinum and that song is from his ambitious double album, Heartbreak on a Full Moon, which recently went gold.

And it looks like Brown is not done with creating more platinum-selling singles. The Grammy-winning singer recently teased a new Michael Jackson-inspired tune on his Instagram page.

“Girl, I’ve got a bad, bad reputation, but you do too,” he sings in the brief clip below. “She said she’s been down, down for a while now / She’s a renegade on the loose.”

“VAMPIRE VIBE session MJ kinda night,” Breezy wrote in the caption, obviously referring to the beat, which sounds similar to Jackson’s hit single “Leave Me Alone” from his 1987 album, Bad.
