Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and UGK Win Big at the BET Awards
R&B sensation Chris Brown walked away with the BET Award for Best Male R&B Artist on Tuesday night. The 19-year-old entertainer managed to outdo himself when he dropped his sophomore album, 'Exclusive,' in November 2007. The platinum selling singer, who took home the award for Best New Artist in 2006, beat out crooners Ne-Yo, J. Holiday, Trey Songz and Raheem Devaughn.
Songstress Alicia Keys took home the award for Best Female R&B artist and professed that she wanted to "dedicate this award to the end of the word 'can't'."
UGK snagged the Video of the Year award for 'International Player's Anthem. "It's hard to do this without my brother," Bun B said during an emotional acceptance speech. "I don't care what ya'll say it's still UGK for life," Bun added before exited the stage.
Kanye West, no stranger in the winner's circle, took home the award for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist. Lil Wayne joined West onstage as the ''No. 1 Human in Music" humbly thanked Weezy for keeping him on his toes.
