With little warning, Childish Gambino drops a new mixtape called 'STN MTN/Kauai.' The project marks his first release since last year's album 'Because the Internet.'

The title represents Bino's childhood home and Hawaii's Kauai island. The 18-track collection, hosted by DJ Drama, features the 31-year-old rapper saluting his beloved ATL with ruminations of growing up in the A.

On most of the songs, Gambino is rapping over production from Atlanta's own superstars. For example, he flips Usher's 2001 classic 'U Don't Have to Call' and raps over Ludacris' 'Southern Hospitality.'

Elsewhere, the '3005' rapper details his life in the ATL on the remix trifecta of 'Move That Dope/Nextel Chirp/Let Your Hair Blow,' which features a guest appearance from Young Scooter. Bino also spits crazy bars over instrumentals of Lil Wayne's 2004 track 'Go DJ' and Timberland & Magoo's 2001 song 'All Y’all.'

In the end, Childish Gambino wants fans to know that he represents Atlanta despite not having a distinct drawl or grills in his mouth.

"I say I’m Atlanta to make a point,” he told Complex recently about his mixtape. “If you ask like a little kid, who’s more Atlanta, me or Iggy Azalea? They might be like, Iggy. So, I’m trying to say something."
