Rapper Chiddy of Philly rap duo Chiddy Bang has announced that he will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for longest freestyle rap at MTV's upcoming O Music Awards.

The digital awards show, which makes its debut on Thursday, April 28, will feature a glimpse of Chidera "Chiddy" Anamege's attempt to break the world record of nine hours, 15 minutes and 15 seconds, held since December 2009 by Indianapolis rapper M-Eighty.

While Chiddy Bang is better known for sampling recent rock-electro hits than their frontman's freestyle skills, Chiddy remains confident that a healthy morning meal is all he needs to break the record.

"I just gotta get a good night's rest, eat a healthy breakfast," he told MTV, making a pun of his forthcoming album's title, 'Breakfast.' "The rest should just be history. We're just gonna try to make it and break it at the same time."

Powering the impromptu rhyme marathon will be Chiddy's partner Xaphoon Jones, who has looped up a special selection of beats to be played throughout the session. "We're just gonna basically have, like, two hours worth of instrumentals that my boy Xaph made," Chiddy revealed. To feed the aspiring world champion's imagination, Chiddy will be receiving inspiration via Twitter, where fans can send him topic ideas using the hashtag #rapworldrecord.

The inaugural O Music Awards streams live from Las Vegas at 11PM ET/8 PM PT on Thursday (April 28) on OMusicAwards.com.

Chiddy Bang's full-length debut, 'Breakfast,' is rumored to hit shelves this summer.
