Unfortunately, Charles Hamilton's new song "New York Raining" didn't beat Kid Cudi's "Love" in The Boombox Battle this week, but that doesn't mean he isn't winning in other areas. The rapper stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers to perform the track with Rita Ora.

Sitting behind a piano, the Harlem MC, dressed in suspenders and a tuxedo shirt, played the keys and rapped simultaneously -- not an easy feat -- while Ms. Ora belted out the hook.

The gorgeous singer dazzled, sporting blond, slicked-back hair and a black tuxedo that hugged her frame perfectly. Between Hamilton's romantic raps and the British artist's strong vocal performance, the cut truly soared and the chemistry between the two could be felt through the TV screen. Ora also provided background vocals and some nice vocal runs while Hamilton rapped, giving the song some needed melody and balance.

It's been several years since we've heard from Hamilton, after he suffered from mental illness. Earlier this month, the 27-year-old spoke to Billboard magazine and talked about his personal and professional struggles. He said after he got dropped from Interscope, he didn't want to deal with anything or anyone.

"I wanted to commit career suicide, physical suicide, spiritual suicide, I didn't care anymore," he said. "I just didn't trust anybody. I didn't leave my house. I just made music all the time. I was fighting depression. I shut myself in."

"I locked myself in my house with the lights out and a turntable turning with no record on it," added Charles. "I was depressed, paranoid and confused."

Watch them make it rain above.
