Chance the Rapper Performs at White House Tree Lighting Ceremony, Sasha Obama Sings Along [WATCH]

Chance the Rapper made his final appearance at the White House on Thursday night (Dec. 1). The Chicago native performed at the 94th annual National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony for President Barack Obama and his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama.

Backed by Nico Segal and the Social Experiment, Chano rapped the fan-favorite track “Sunday Candy,” from his celebrated project, Coloring Book. The spiritual song definitely connected with the Obamas as daughter Sasha was caught lip-syncing to the song.

According to reports, President Obama got into the Christmas spirit and sang “Jingle Bells” for attendees.

This isn’t Chance’s first time at the White House. Back in October, the 23-year-old rhymer, along with R&B singer Frank Ocean, attended President Obama’s final state dinner. Chance was accompanied by his father, while Ocean brought his biggest fan as his date, his mom.

As for the lighting ceremony, Yolanda Adams, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood also performed at the event, which was was taped for Dec. 5 broadcast on the Hallmark Channel.
