Turns out that Chance the Rapper's stop during his "Magnificent Coloring World Tour" will actually be a mini music festival held at Cellular Field on the city's south side on September 24. The Chicago rapper posted about the event on Twitter earlier today (July 25), after teasing fans last month that he had "something special" set up for his hometown.

The Chicago Tribune reports the event is billed as the "first ever music festival at U.S. Cellular Field on Chicago's South Side," the "Magnificent Coloring Day" event will feature Chance the Rapper, along with Skrillex, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Tyler the Creator, Lil Wayne and others.

Chance's event takes place at the same time as Common's Aha Festival, which will be held at Union Park. Common's event was cancelled last year but as of now, is still scheduled to return.

Chance will kick off The Magnificent World tour in September in support of his critically-acclaimed project Coloring Book, which made history as the first project to chart on the Billboard 200 off of streaming alone. The tour will start in San Diego on September 15 and hit Boston, Atlanta and Dallas among other cities before heading overseas to Europe and Australia.

However, the highlight will obviously be the festival in Chicago, which gives Chance the opportunity to show love for his city.

Tickets for "Magnificent Coloring Day" will be on sale at www.chanceraps.com.
