Chance the Rapper has been relatively quiet on the music front, but it appears he’s in the lab cooking up something. On Saturday (April 30), the Chicago native jumped on his Twitter account to announce that new music is on the way.

The tweet (see above) simply features the technicolor cover artwork to his next project, which is being called Chance 3. He also posted a .Gif of a flashing number "3."

"The next weeks will be the most fan-driven, involved roll out in history," announced Chance in a now since-deleted tweet.

There’s no official word if this is an album or a mixtape release. This will be the 23-year-old rhymer’s first solo project in over three years. Last year, Chance appeared on Donnie Trumpet & the Social Experiment album Surf, and rapped alongside Lil B on their fantastic mixtape project, Free (Based Freestyles).

If you love the Chance 3 cover art, you can buy 10 posters of the artwork for $20 at chanceraps.com.

We will probably get more information regarding his Chance 3 project next week. The Acid Rap creator has been booked to perform on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (May 5). The episode's guests are actor Robert Downey Jr. and author-comedian Amy Sedaris.

Stay tuned.
