Chance the Rapper fans got a pleasant surprise at the Bonnaroo Festival Saturday (June 11) night. The Chicago rapper took the stage unexpectedly during J. Cole's set for a performance of "No Problem." Chance also made an appearance during Bryson Tiller's set. The performances became the talk of the festival, on the strength of Chance being such a hot topic right now. But the performances weren't exactly a complete surprise.

With a single tweet, the official Bonnaroo Twitter account let the cat out of the bag.

"We heard there was a chance this might happen... @bonnaroo @JColeNC @chancetherapper @noproblem," the tweet read.

Chance had earlier tweeted that he would be at Bonnaroo, but didn't say he'd be performing at all.

"I'll be at again this year, but this time I'll doing a write up for a publication I admire and revere," he tweeted. "Can't wait."

Chance is currently riding a wave of acclaim following the release of his Coloring Book mixtape. On the heels of all the praise the project has received, The Interns, an Australian music blog, put together an actual coloring book in celebration of Chano’s latest. In other news, there are rumblings of bad blood between Chance and Vic Mensa after Vic cropped Chance out of an Instagram photo last week.

Check out tweets from before and during Chance's "surprise" appearance.
