Chance The Rapper is currently on cloud 9 following a life-changing weekend, where he won three major Grammys at the awards ceremony on Sunday. While the MC is currently celebrating his huge victories, he's also speaking out on some more serious matters when it comes to protecting his home city, Chicago. During his interview with ESPN Magazine, where he is joined by Chicago Bulls player, Jimmy Butler, Chance speaks on Donald Trump's latest threats to "send in the feds" to the city.

The President recently tweeted about the city, writing, “If Chicago doesn’t fix the horrible ‘carnage’ going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!”

In his interview, Chance addressed the tweet and Trump's portrayal of his city.

"I hope he’s coming in to do some type of federal overturn of our state and city budgets in terms of schooling and housing," the rapper said. "I’m tired of n----s talkin’ about Chicago like it’s a Third World country. Like, that it’s not a place of booming business with a very successful downtown and all types of new development. It sounds like he was announcin’ he was going to war with Chicago. I don’t like to look at s--- through that lens."

Butler also chimed in with his thoughts.

"You go down there and you change people’s lives," he said. "You make them want to do better for the next person. And that’s when Chicago is going to be a beautiful place, and nobody’s comin’ here talkin’ about how bad it is like he said, like a Third World country. ’Cause that’s not it."
