From his work with James Blake to Surf with Donnie Trumpet & the Social Experiment, Chance the Rapper is a big fan of collaboration. And now it looks like he's teamed up with Lil B on a new album.

Announcing the news on social media by posting a photo of themselves, the two apparently made some musical magic in the studio and could have the project out to us in the near future.

"Just knocked out a based freestyle album with chance the rapper in chi town!! @chancetherapper - Lil B," the California rapper captioned the same photo.

While details are few and far between, this is clearly something that the two are excited about. And considering the rapper's own track records, we have a good feeling that this could be something really special.

This isn't the only collaboration that Chance has been involved in. He revealed that he's been also working with Kanye West on a new project.

"We started working recently and have a lot of cool ideas brewing," he said on the Chicago talk show, Windy City Live!. "Me and Kanye and a lot of Chicago artists and a lot of dope artists are working on a collaborative effort that will be released tentatively."

Despite all the collaborative work, we're still awaiting Chance's follow-up to Acid Rap. But in the meantime, Chance the Rapper and the Social Experiment will be performing today (July 19) at Pitchfork Music Festival. And with the announcement of his work with Lil B, does this mean the Based God will be joining Chance on stage? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
