NBA superstar Dwyane Wade and Grammy-winning artist Chance the Rapper have teamed up to produce a documentary about high school basketball in Chicago.

The documentary is called Shot in the Dark and it will feature players on the Orr Academy High School basketball team. The film chronicles the team’s success on the court and the struggles team members face living in the poverty and violence-stricken city of Chicago.

“Basketball empowered me to overcome the challenges of growing up on the southside of Chicago," said Wade in a press release about the documentary. "The odds were stacked against me, and the game changed the course of my life. It’s important to share these true stories of triumph to inspire the next generation to achieve their dreams when faced with life’s obstacles.”

Chano added, "Shot in the Dark" is an authentic and realistic look at high school sports in Chicago and what it means for our youth. It’s not really a game for some of us.”

The documentary is expected to air in February 2018 on Fox as part of the network's documentary series called Magnify. Peep the trailer above.

And a reminder, Chance the Rapper will be hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend with musical guest Eminem.
