Cee Lo Green Performs ‘F— You’ on ‘Saturday Night Live’
Cee Lo Green cleaned up his act Saturday night (Jan. 15) as he performed an expletive-free version of his monster hit ‘F— You’ on stage for ‘Saturday Night Live’ viewers.
Besides showcasing his soulful crooning, ‘The Lady Killer’ creator, who is up for five Grammy nominations this year, also appeared in several of the NBC show’s comedic sketches alongside host Gwyneth Paltrow.
When it came time to belt out his tune, the Goodie Mob member, backed by an all-female band, sang ‘Forget You,’ the clean rendition of his chart-topping single. Cee Lo, dressed in all-black everything, even offered fans a treat with the Ben H. Allen-produced joint ‘Bright Lights Bigger City.’
Since its release last year, ‘F— You’ has become both a viral smash and global hit. The track is nominated for a Grammy for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Short form Music Video, Best Urban/Alternative Performance and Producer of the Year, Non-Classical. The Gnarls Barkley entertainer will attend the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 13.
