Cardi B continues to make noise as her ubiquitous song “Bodak Yellow” reigns on urban radio and in the clubs. Now comes word that the Bronx rapper is looking to collaborate with fellow Bronx MC Remy Ma.

In a recent chat with KendallKyndoll on VH1’s Facebook Live, Remy revealed that she and Cardi plan to make music together. “Yes, we actually were talking about it...she grabbed me and said ‘We need to do a song together, I’m not playing!’”

Interestingly, at first Remy Ma was dismissive of Cardi B. “When I first heard her - in this business you see people come in and take this rap thing as a joke, people think ‘oh because I got a fat ass and a pretty face I’m gonna be a rapper," she said."I just assumed that that’s what it was with her, I actually told her this," she continued.

But that all changed when she saw her rock a high school talent show at 17. "And then I saw one day, she was about 17 in high school and she was performing in a talent show in school and it just changed everything," Remy said.

Cardi B is something special. In fact, over the weekend, at Philadelphia's Budweiser Made In America festival, the rap star was able to meet one of her music idols-- Beyonce. Could there be a Cardi B and Beyoncé collaboration in the works? Hey, it could happen.
