As expected, Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy is the No. 1 album in the U.S. Her debut project sits atop the Billboard 200 albums chart with 255,000 equivalent album units moved last week, according to Nielsen Music (via Billboard).

Of that sum, 103,000 were from traditional album sales. A majority of her totals came from streaming. Of those 255,000 equivalent album units, 135,000 were in SEA units, which translates to 202.6 million streams of the tracks on the album. Invasion’s streams shattered the previous record-holder, Beyoncé’s Lemonade, which premiered with 77,000 SEA units (115.2 million streams) back in May 2016.

Invasion also holds the title of having the second-biggest sales week in 2018 behind in Justin Timberlake’s Man of the Woods, which debuted with 293,000 units back in February 2018.

As it stands now, Cardi B is the fifth female rapper to have a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 tally. The rap superstar joins an impressive list of lyricists with chart-topping albums.

Among them are Nicki Minaj with Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in 2012 and Pink Friday in 2011; Eve with her debut 1999 project Let There Be Eve...Ruff Ryders' First Lady; Foxy Brown with Chyna Doll in 1999 and her collaborative album with The Firm in 1997, and finally, the legend herself, Lauryn Hill with her 1998 masterpiece The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

On Sunday (April 15), Cardi B went on her Instagram page to thanked her fans for making her album go to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. "Thank you sooo much everybody !!!Im super exited!! It wouldn’t happen with out yaa. I love ya so much. A dream come true. Check out #invasionofprivacy !!...The devil calls me but God hugs me!!
