Busta RhymesFollowing the recent trend, Busta Rhymes has announced that he will be releasing a sequel to his 1998 album 'E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front.' The project was rumored to be in the works after Raekwon released the sequel to his classic 'Only Built 4 Cuban Linx,' and several other MC's, including GZA and AZ, announced similar sequels of their own.

Busta's manager, Chris Lighty confirmed the rumor via Twitter yesterday, saying "Extinction.Level.Event 2 ... prepare yourself," a message that Busta re-tweeted.

'E.L.E. 2' will continue in the apocalyptic vein of its predecessor, according to Lighty. "From the Intro of the new Busta Album your going to know your [sic] in trouble and you just turned on 2012 the movie on warp speed," he said.

While the first 'E.L.E.' may not hold the same place in hip-hop canon as Raekwon, GZA or AZ's debuts, it still featured its share of hits, including 'Tear Da Roof Off,' and 'What's It Gonna Be,' an overlooked classic with Janet Jackson.

'E.L.E. 2' has not yet received a release date. Busta is scheduled to release his ninth album, 'The Chemo,' this summer.
