Burn Rubber is back with another collaboration that is a veritable master class in storytelling through sneakers. As usual, their subject is a Detroit landmark and this time their canvas is the ever-popular Reebok Ventilator, which is currently the shoe du jour.

This pair is based around the famous Boblo ferries, which serviced Boblo Island Amusement Park and were loved by all who got to set sail on them. The sneakers in turn make use of suede and mesh in the cleverest of ways with grey, off-white, red and blue implying smoke stacks and the colors of the boats themselves. The sneaker is finished with the Burn Rubber logo stitched on the heel and rumor has it there are other Easter eggs hidden in the shoe.

You can look out for these on May 16 and if you need to question where they'll be released at, then you don't know the boys at Burn Rubber very well. Be sure to log on to their site at midnight to get the jump on everyone else.
