A devastating flood hit the Houston region on Monday (April 18) and Texas native Bun B is doing all that he can to help the victims.

The UGK rhymer acted alongside the Houston Fire Department and used his Instagram account to direct those in need as they attempted to get assistance, specifically directing those in need to the Campbell Center and telling people who wanted to donate supplies to help flood victims to head to Williams Middle School.

The hip-hop vet also had Spanish speakers available if needed. Bun B was active throughout yesterday posting updates as things unfolded, including posting a video of a father to six children pleading for support because they had nowhere to go.

According to Dallas Morning News, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has declared a state of emergency in Houston, where 70,000 people were left without power and at least 1,200 people were rescued from flood waters.

CNN is reporting that at least five people have been killed in the flood and rainfall is expected to continue throughout Tuesday (April 19) evening.

Props to Bun B for helping the flood victims in Houston. We hope that people affected by the flood can find safety in available shelters in the area.
