Bryson Tiller recently paid it forward this holiday season, by buying groceries for a family and others in his hometown of Louisville, Ky.

One of the people the singer looked out for was local resident Joann Samuels, who didn't even know he was famous.

"He said, 'Why don't you fill up that whole basket,'" Samuels told WDRB. "He said, 'Fill it up, and I'll pay for it.' I looked at him. He looked like a clean cut guy. I was a little apprehensive, because you know, you can't trust everyone nowadays."

Afterward, the Trapsoul crooner explained to the woman that buying the groceries was his "way of giving back at Christmas time," and eventually she found out that he was an entertainer.

Later on, Tiller also stopped at the grocery store Pic Pac in Louisville and told the shocked people there that he wanted to help out.

"He was like 'I'm home for the holidays, and I just came to give back to my city. I grew up in the south end, and I shop in her a lot, and I want to give back,'" store employee Jason Alexander remembered.

Mr. Tiller should certainly get some credit for his sheer generosity — that's one thing for sure.
