Bruno Mars is winning.

Mars kicked off the 2017 BET Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with an electric performance. Mars "Hooligans" danced it out in their fun-filled choreographed performance of "Perm," from Mars' smash album 24K Magic.

Mars is nominated for five awards at the 2017 BET Awards. He's up for Album of the Year and Video of the Year, the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award, Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and he even got a nod as Video Director of the Year for "That’s What I Like" with Jonathan Lia.

Trevor Noah, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, Issa Rae and Yara Shahidi are among the presenters. R&B legends New Edition, whose BET biopic was a ratings and critical smash this year, will be honored with the lifetime achievement award. Chance the Rapper will earn the humanitarian award.

Alongside performers Lil Wayne, French Montana, Trey Songz, Gucci Mane, SZA, Migos and Khalid, this is a star-studded year--even compared to last year's show.
