Following a memorable performance with B.o.B at the 2011 Grammy Awards, Janelle Monae and Bruno Mars have announced plans to set out on a co-headlining North American tour.

The Hooligans in Wondaland tour is scheduled to run from May through June, with specific cities and tour dates to be announced in the coming days. Fans will be able to purchase pre-sale ticket bundles that will grant them early venue access, meet-and-greet sessions with Mars and Monae, fan club memberships and a 'Best of Janelle' digital EP. Full tour dates and pre-sale information will be announced on BrunoMars.com and JMonae.com.

Their road partnership is fitting. Both have taken pages from the '40s and '50s in their music and style, with Mars taking inspiration from old doo-wop groups and Elvis on his debut 'Doo-wop & Hooligans.' Monae has often cited Judy Garland and James Brown as major influences on her music, and even sports an Elvis pompadour she calls 'The Monae.' Also, both singers have an obvious shared passion for saddle oxfords.

On Sunday (Feb. 13), Bruno Mars picked up a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his single 'Just the Way You Are.' Janelle Monae received two nominations for Best Contemporary R&B Album for 'The ArchAndroid (Suites II and III) and Best Urban/Alternative Performance for 'Tightrope. Mars will also perform at the NBA All-Star Pregame Show, along with Keri Hilson. The show will air live on TNT at 7PM.
