Brandy Performed For 40 People At a South Africa Stadium That Holds 90,000
It appears that some poor planning and promotion led to a nearly empty audience during Brandy's performance this past weekend in South Africa.
The R&B singer took the stage at FNB Stadium following a day full of performances and sporting events as part of Nelson Mandela Sport and Culture Day. The venue, which is located in the Soweto area of Johannesburg, seats up to 90,000 people but a very, very small portion of that amount were on hand for Brandy's set.
According to FACT, there were only about 40 people in attendance to watch Brandy's performance. The magazine found a screenshot of a Twitter interaction regarding the mishap, which apparently occurred because of a lack of promotion.
Damn. Well, maybe Brandy can get another shot to perform for folks in Johannesburg and someone will, you know, get the word out.
