This weekend, The Roots will present the 10th annual Roots Picnic in their native hometown of Philadelphia. To celebrate 10 years of festivity and goodwill, Roots frontman Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter will release a limited-edition sneaker ahead of the festival.

The Philly lyricist teamed up with sneaker brand Clear Weather and shoe cleaning line Jason Markk to release his own special kicks called “Jones C.” The sneaker comes with a bunch of goodies including a picnic basket, a blanket and Markk’s cleaning wipes to keep your sneaks nice and clean. The shoe, which is perfect for the summer, features Black Thought's face on the tongue (reminiscent of Adidas' classic summer shoe the Stan Smiths).

Thought’s "Jones C." sneakers goes on sale June 1 exclusively at UBIQ stores in Philadelphia and on the Clear Weather website.

This year's Roots Picnic will feature headlining performers Pharrell (backed by the Illadelph band), Solange and Lil Wayne. Other performers set to hit the stage include 21 Savage, Thundercat, Pete Rock, PNB Rock, Khalid, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, DJ Spinna and more. The one-day event will place on June 3 at Philadelphia’s Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing.
