If you didn't score a ticket to the 2015 Black Girls Rock event on Saturday (March 28), we've got you've covered with some of the inside scoop from the festivities, which brings together some of the most amazing and beautiful black women from education to entertainment.

Held at the NJPAC –Prudential Hall in Newark, N.J., honorees included veteran actress Cicely Tyson (Living Legend Award), filmmaker Ava DuVernay (the Shot Caller Award), Dr. Helene D. Gaye (Social Humanitarian Award), educator Nadia Lopez (Change Agent Award) and actress Jada Pinkett Smith (Star Power Award), whose husband Will Smith presented her award.

DJ Beverly Bond, who founded the event, welcomed powerful and lauded ladies like Erykah Badu, Ciara, Jill Scott, Estelle, Faith Evans, First Lady Michelle Obama to the stage to perform and share a few memorable words.

A look at the red carpet photos proves black and white was the theme for the night. Ciara chose a silky black number while Janelle Monae opted for a black crop top and a long, striped skirt. Jill dazzled in a hip-hugging pantsuit, Estelle stepped out in a white floral piece and Erykah Badu marched to the beat of her own drum with a printed wrap.

Take a look at what each of the beauties wore from the carpet to the stage above.

Black Girls Rock will air on BET April 5 at 7 p.m. EST.
